Watching Educational Videos

Having little ones watch educational videos whenever possible can also be helpful in helping them build key early literacy skills. For example, if they watch age-appropriate videos on the alphabet or basic numbers, they can improve their letter knowledge and numeracy without having to put much force or effort into the process. How awesome is that? Also, videos on the parts of books can be an excellent way to help them build their print awareness (a familiarity with books) as well as their print motivation (a desire to interact with books).
